Over the last 2 years I have been teaching a variety of classes in the Massage Therapy Program at Vancouver Career College.   Subjects I have taught include Systemics 1 and 2, professional development and a variety of other classes.   I also regularly supervise the student massage clinic and am the lead instructor for the Maternity in-reach practicums.

Having a strong background in multiple forms of massage I will be focusing some extra attention on Thai massage and pregnancy massage.   I have worked and ran a clinic that housed a Doula training program which has given me ample experience working with pregnancy, pre and post.   I also have pregnancy cushions available for belly down massage.  Please Check out the bio section on the website to get a better understanding of Thai massage. Although I have a lot of experience and familiarity in these two areas of massage I am by no means practicing exclusively in these two areas.

Whatever technique or modality of massage I use I am most amazed by the way massage can bring us into the present moment.  Massage can help us connect to “the now” where we are not thinking about the past or worried about the future. Being in the present moment is often a deeply healing experience in and of itself.  After more than 20 years of practicing massage I try to listen as best I can so clients can listen as best they can.  If we give enough of our attention to our sensations we can help heal our disconnection and our tissues.  Until we share some space.

Sincerly,
Guy Tardif, RMT
